Introduction on CME/CPD

The purpose of Continuing Medicine Education / Continuous Professional Development (CME/CPD) is to keep Fellows informed and updated on current developments in medical knowledge, sciences, skills and practice, and to maintain a high standard of professional and ethical practice to enable the delivery of safe and quality professional care to the public.

According to Section 8(3) od the “MAM College Regulations”, the name of a Fellow who has failed to obtain the yearly minimum point required for CME/CPD will be removed from the College Specialty Board. Therefore, Fellows must fulfill all the MAM CME/CPD requirements, otherwise they will lose their Fellowship.

The minimum CME/CPD requirements is 90 points in a 3-year cycle. CME/CPD points accumulated in excess of the requirement for one cycle cannot be carried forward to the next cycle.
